David lived at Bethphage Mosaic Mission in Holdrege before moving to Christian Homes in 2016.

On this Mount there were several villages: Bethphage was on that side farthest from Jerusalem; and on the side nearest to the city, stood the village of Gethsemane.

Jesus led his Apostles to the spot where the tract of Bethany joined that of Bethphage.

And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage, and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you; and as soon as ye enter into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never mam sat; loose him and bring him; and if any man say unto you, Why do you this?

Jesus had now come near to Jerusalem, into what was possibly the sacred district of Bethphage, of which, in that case, Bethany was the border village.
