Actress Cate Blanchett has said she wants to quit acting to do other things, joining a long line of big Hollywood stars who gave up the red carpets for a different lifestyle.

Blanchett is best known for appearing in films such as Tár, Notes on a Scandal and Elizabeth: The Golden Age, and won Oscars for her performances in Blue Jasmine and The Aviator.

A video announcing the plans featured the prince and several Earthshot supporters including David Beckham, Cate Blanchett, Hannah Waddingham and former Brazilian footballer, Cafu.

The letter's signatories included A-List stars like Ben Stiller, Paul McCartney, Cate Blanchett and Lilly Wachowski, who co-created "The Matrix," which depicts a dystopian simulated reality where humans are enslaved by intelligent machines.

As Aduba’s “Mrs. America” co-star Cate Blanchett put it in a separate phone interview: “When I think about her, I think about how much I want to be alive.”
