Farmer Malcolm Barrett, a tenant farmer from St Tudy near Bodmin, is working with scientists from the University of Plymouth who are using a gamma ray detector mounted on a robot dog to map the health of the soil in his fields.

An 18-year-old man, from Bodmin, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by careless driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Bodmin Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called by the ambulance service at 10:10 BST on Saturday, following a report of concern for the welfare of two people in the Bodmin area.
