A young man piloting a small plane that crashed east of the Santa Paula Airport was being airlifted to a burn center in Los Angeles, authorities said.

Slipknot rocker Sid Wilson detailed the fiery explosion that he said ‘melted’ his face off last week and sent him to an Iowa hospital and burn center.

The hospital said it was a record number of frostbite patients since the burn center opened 11 years ago.

A “frustrated” Grossman, he said, told him she “hopes I don’t need the services of the burn center in the future.”

Ms. Allen underwent a series of surgeries and skin grafts at a burn center in Honolulu.
