The Beds, Cambs and Herts Serious Collision Investigation Unit has appealed for witnesses to come forward.

They remained in police custody after being arrested by the Beds, Cambs & Herts Major Crime Unit on Tuesday.

Det Sgt Mark Dollard, from the Beds, Cambs and Herts Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "I want to pass on my condolences to PC Golding's family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time; it is always sad when someone loses their life in the line of duty."

He has denied killing Diane Stewart, 47, who died at the family home in Bassingbourn, Cambs, on 25 June 2010.
