We passed by the Caprivi Strip, a panhandle in Namibia, crossing back and forth into Namibian waters as we cruised by troops of baboons and seemingly endless water lilies.

On Namibia’s northern Caprivi Strip across the Chobe River from Chobe National Park in Botswana lies the new Chobe Water Villas, a collection of 16 stilt-supported suites with generous terraces on the water and rear terraces facing the bush.

Some 850 Bushmen are organized into a separate battalion of the South West Africa Territory Force headquartered at Omega, a base camp in Namibia's northeastern Caprivi Strip.
