Angarano, who wrote the screenplay with actor Chris Smith, also stars as Rickey, a happy-go-lucky manchild who shows up at the Los Angeles house of onetime bestie Glenn, played by Michael Cera, to convince him it’s time to hang out more deeply again.

And though the innate chemistry between Angarano and Cera is on display for almost the entire movie, it’s never more human and believable than it is when Glenn and Rickey have to navigate the potential fallout of their friendship and own up to what they both could’ve done to avoid the mess they're in.

The young woman insists that her boyfriend take pictures of her in front of an orange tree and proceeds to humiliate him in front of his parents with her photography demands and her insistence that he not take pictures that make her look like Michael Cera.

His performance made me imagine what the very fine actor Michael Cera might be like as David Berkowitz in a TV movie about the Son of Sam serial killer.

A lot of these guys that came in on tape — Michael Cera did this too — they were so funny that you couldn’t tell if they were being funny.
