Conte’s gallbladder was removed after he was diagnosed as having cholecystitis after experiencing severe abdominal pain.

The 53-year-old Italian was diagnosed with cholecystitis, an inflammation of the gallbladder, after becoming "unwell with severe abdominal pain".

Ginsburg, 87, underwent non-surgical treatment and spent the night in the hospital for acute cholecystitis, a benign gallbladder condition, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore on Tuesday.

Ginsburg’s was treated for an inflammatory condition of the gallbladder known as acute cholecystitis.
