State Sen. André Jacque, of De Pere, former state Sen. Roger Roth, of Appleton, and former gas station and convenience store owner Tony Wied, are all running as Republicans for the seat.

Andre Jacque of De Pere announced Monday that he will run for the 8th Congressional District seat being vacated by Mike Gallagher.

Baroun, whose family has about 1,200 maple trees at their Maple Sweet Dairy in De Pere, Wisconsin, just south of Green Bay, said the farm began cooking sap this week and that’s the earliest her family can remember since production began in 1964.

Kelly Ruh, a city alderwoman in De Pere, Wis., was subpoenaed by the congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack because she was among the slate of Republican alternate electors that Wisconsin Republicans submitted, despite Mr. Trump’s loss in the state.

Jacque, of De Pere, was first elected to the state Assembly in 2010 and served four terms before being elected to the Senate in 2018.
