"In each of the robberies, he handed a teller a threatening demand note, obtained an unspecified amount of cash, and fled the area of the bank on foot," the FBI said in a statement.

Police recovered a demand note in the seat back pocket in front of him and stolen money from the bank, court records show.

He allegedly asked the teller to help him cash a check, then handed over a demand note, pulled out a red-and-black pistol and shoved it in the teller's back, police said.

Police said officers found evidence of the attempted bank robbery on Genesis: a partially written demand note he was writing for another bank robbery attempt.

The FBI said the person approached a teller during each of the robberies with a demand note that implies they have a weapon.
