Dropping June 11 is an upload of “Destructo Snack, USA,” written and performed by Sarah Graalman and the Brick’s artistic director, Theresa Buchheister.

While other promoters like Goldenvoice’s Paul Tollett and Electric Daisy Carnival’s Pasquale Rotella aim to stay more or less behind the scenes, Richards often DJ’s as Destructo during the shows, and reigns over the annual Holy Ship cruise festival like a homecoming king.

His just-released EP as Destructo, his DJ name, is called Renegade, to reflect his position as an artist who does things his own way.

Since the acquisition Richard’s Destructo has in fact released two studio albums, on top of Technology, which was released in 2012.

With the mix of music and business, whether he’s going by Richards or Destructo, the man behind Hard Presents achieved major status in the music world, being named as one of Rolling Stone’s “50 Most Important People in EDM” as well as InTheMix’s list of the “50 Most Powerful People in EDM.”
