The Northern Ireland fashion designer Jonathan Anderson is the new artistic director of Dior menswear.

While Anderson did not detail his next steps, Women's Wear Daily reports it is "practically an open secret" that the designer is set for Christian Dior.

Dior's latest collection embraced see-through material and presented it in an ethereal way, with intricate detailing and gender-fluid silhouettes.

Artistic vision and craftsmanship are what separate haute couture from high fashion, and both were on display on the Christian Dior runway.

It was reminiscent of Dior's glamorous New Look, which ushered in a new era in fashion after World War Two.
