The first week of Trump’s presidency unfurled like a dreamscape of bewildering executive edicts.

“It’s a character that inhabits a David Lynch dreamscape. The music is chugging along and you just feel like you’re on one of those lost highways.”

And that’s how it goes this awful week in western Los Angeles, normally a dreamscape of gorgeous beaches and breathtaking sunsets.
