Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat, will no longer bring legislation to a vote that would have allowed the confirmation of the promotions en bloc.

The temporary rule change would confirm all pending nominations en bloc and prevent any one senator from issuing blanket holds through the end of this Congress.

The Democratic-led Senate will vote next week on a de facto temporary rule change to circumvent Mr. Tuberville and allow the confirmation of nominees en bloc.

They voted last Tuesday en bloc in the Senate Rules and Administration Committee to reject it, creating a tie in the evenly split panel.

Latinx individuals have not similarly flaunted government guidelines or demanded their repeal en bloc.
