The alt-queer magazine Cakeboy promoted “disruptive faggotry”.

In fact, we’re in a moment when feminized male queerness – aka what stereotypically gets labeled as “faggotry” – has found greater acceptance and representation in popular culture.

To my shock I arrived early, so I went to grab a coffee, and as I was walking in, this lady with the most gorgeous ex- pertly done microbraids and giant glasses stopped me and bellowed, “Honey, this faggotry you are serving is giving me everything!”

Fifty years ago this month, a police raid on a Greenwich Village watering hole jump-started the gay-liberation movement, when the “forces of faggotry,” as the Village Voice called the denizens of the Stonewall Inn and their neighbors, fought back with bricks, bottles, and spontaneous kick lines.

“Well lads, it’s time to stop shitposting and time to make a real life effort post … It’s been a long ride and despite all your rampant faggotry, fecklessness and degeneracy, you are all top blokes and the best bunch of cobbers a man could ask for.”
