A house in the Sonoma County town of Forestville fell into the Russian River after a rain-saturated hillside gave way, and all low-lying areas of the river downstream of Healdsburg — including Guerneville — were ordered evacuated due to the risk of flooding.

Additionally, El Chilar Rodriguez of Apopka, Fla., recalled 127 cases of El Chilar Ground Cinnamon “Canela Molida” sold in 1.25-ounce bags, distributed by La Raza of Forestville, Md. and sold at retail stores throughout Maryland.

After a local school board approved a controversial consolidation of Analy High School in Sebastopol and its longtime rival, El Molino High School in Forestville, in 2021, local tempers flared, including for Judge James G. Bertoli, a 1978 Analy alumnus, the Commission on Judicial Performance said.
