In another Fumariaceous genus, Hypecoum, Hildebrand observed that H. grandiflorum was highly self-sterile, whilst H. procumbens was fairly self-fertile.

If you send any Fumariaceous plant, send if you can, also two or three single balsams.

Professor Braun mentions a Fumariaceous genus, in which the flowers in the lower part of the spike bear oval, ribbed, one-seeded nutlets; and in the upper part of the spike, lanceolate, two-valved and two-seeded siliques.
