Space Force, at least eight general officers’ nominations are on hold - but that’s one third of all of its 25 senior officers.

It’s not the first time general officer promotions have been frozen by a single senator.

And Mississippi Sen. Roger Wicker, the top Republican on the committee, said he would talk to Tuberville and Senate leaders to seek a resolution, adding, “I think the general officers should be confirmed.”

“This challenge is too important to allow a general officer’s political views to impact military personnel decisions,” they said.

“Frankly, maybe if we would focus our military spending on the soldiers and not having so many generals — the ratio of general officers to enlisted individuals now is so out of whack.”
