"Get me to God's country, right? Remember that?"

Trump showed off a large, expensive cardboard chart of countries and reciprocal tariffs, and in his stream-of-consciousness patter, said, “Get me back to God’s country,” a reference to last week’s musical guest Morgan Wallen exiting the end of the show early and posting that phrase on Instagram soon after.

"Get me to God's country," he wrote over a photo of his private jet.

Thompson took offense to the "God's country" crack, saying that Wallen's attitude toward New York was "not necessarily my favorite."

"The 'God's country' of it all is strange because it's like, what are you trying to say? You trying to say that we are not in God's country?" he said.
