Gurmukhi, the Sikh script, is paired alongside English on storefronts.

As an homage to kaur’s identity as a diasporic Punjabi Sikh woman, poems are written all in lowercase, an homage to the way that Punjabi is written in Shahmukhi or Gurmukhi script, the latter of which has no uppercase or lowercase letters.

Madhur Kaur, a junior at Quince Orchard High School, showed off skills she mastered for her recent baptism in the faith, reading aloud from the scripture written in Gurmukhi.

Their coin legends, partly Persian, partly Panjábí, are written in the Persian and Gurmúkhí scripts.
