Netflix wouldn’t share details about what these future interactive or trivia-based titles are going to look like — or how many we can expect to see even this year — but spokesperson Ebony Turner told me Netflix will have “something coming up soon that builds on top of this.”

“Fifty dollars a month is great if you have something coming in,” she said.

“And this year, not knowing what will happen with the lobster market as a whole, it’s nice to know I have something coming in.”

Her plan was to stay in her native South, teaching school and writing for the local newspaper, because she believed that “the people who had little or no school training should have something coming into their homes weekly which dealt with their problems in a simple, helpful way.”
