In a tongue-in-cheek video and statement posted on X by Upland police, three people are seen breaking into the Corky’s Homestyle Kitchen and Bakery near 7th Street and Mountain Avenue around 3:30 a.m.

This week, Inglewood-based soul institution the Serving Spoon is offering breakfast at the church from 9 to 11 a.m., including its famous homestyle potatoes, eggs, chicken or pork sausage and biscuits.

A lot of the homestyle dishes are meant to be riffed, not strictly adhered to.

Dinner specials will be smaller plates to encourage a more family homestyle experience.

The family business, which now includes Rosas’ sister, Joy Mori, and a handful of nieces, ditched the baskets, put in a kitchen and installed a ceiling mirror to showcase Rosas cooking homestyle Filipino dishes.
