A divine impartation of knowledge; supernatural impulse; inspiration.

To such a faith, which views Christ in the scope and breadth of His redemption, this epistle throughout appeals; for its impartation and increase St Paul prayed the wonderful prayer of the third chapter.

He felt it was only by the daily impartation of a strength greater than his own, that spiritual life was sustained.

So then, the great truths here are these; the impartation of life by union with Christ, which life is truly a resurrection life, and is, moreover, hidden with Christ in God.

And no man is pure except by impartation; and every good thing and every perfect thing cometh from the Father of lights.—Alex.
