On Sunday morning, Cuba’s Civil Defense authorities issued a hurricane warning advisory for the provinces of Isle of Youth, Pinar del Río and Artemisa, but no government-led evacuations have been announced.

The Cuban government has issued a tropical storm watch for the provinces of Matanzas, Mayabeque, La Habana, Artemisa, Pinar del Rio and the Isle of Youth, according to the U.S.

Ida made its first landfall Friday afternoon on Cuba’s southern Isle of Youth.

Eastern on Friday, the storm had moved away from the Isle of Youth, south of Cuba, and had made landfall in the Cuban province of Pinar Del Rio, with sustained wind speeds reaching 80 miles per hour, the center said in an advisory.

Cuban weather officials have issued warnings in the Isle of Youth and other western provinces.
