The Organization of Islamic Cooperation — which Sudan is a part of — will hold an emergency meeting in Jiddah, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday to discuss how to restore peace.

Roughly 700 Indians have arrived in Jiddah, Saudi Arabia, by an Indian navy ship and two aircraft, officials in New Delhi said Wednesday.

Yet there appeared to be little concrete progress until this week, when Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Mekdad touched down in Jiddah.

It also increased scrutiny of Biden’s visit to Jiddah several months earlier for talks with senior Saudi officials including the prince.

Yet, less than two years later, President Biden traveled to Jiddah, Saudi Arabia, and exchanged a fist bump with Prince Mohammed to reaffirm the relationship.
