Kensington and Chelsea Council said residents were moved on once issues were raised with the properties it purchased after the tragedy.

Kensington and Chelsea Council said it knowingly took some risks purchasing the properties "in the necessary interest of speed", a council report shows.

When asked for evidence the building was "worse than Grenfell", he said the building had similar cladding to Grenfell Tower, the Kensington and Chelsea block of flats in which 72 people died in a fire accelerated by flammable cladding.

Crews from Euston, Soho, Paddington, West Hampstead, Kensington and Chelsea fire stations were deployed and remain on scene, LFB added.

Kensington and Chelsea delivered just 245 homes last year.
