It is understood DUP Communities Minister Gordon Lyons has posed a series of questions about the move in a letter to the infrastructure minister.

Mr Doyle's role is expected to be split between Ms Driver, who is Downing Street's current deputy communications director, and Mr Lyons, a former political journalist and TikTok spinner who joined Number 10 last year.

The New York Times' Margaret Lyons called it "a rich work of social critique", describing the standout episode, the third, as "one of the more fascinating hours of TV I've seen in a long time".

Lyons said the event was important and would put Northern Ireland "front and centre".

Details of events planned will be announced by Communities Minister Gordon Lyons in Washington DC this week.
