The final chapter belongs to Bob Lemmons, a mustanger who single-handedly brought in herds of wild horses by making the mustangs think he was “one of them.”

Lilly started participating locally at the Mustanger Arena using a lead line and progressed from there.

"Ain't he sorry?" laughs Mustanger Bill Victor.

If investigators discover wild horses in the herd, the mustanger explains that he was only trying to recover his stock.

There is not a real mustanger among these men, nor one who is not a robber; scarce one who could lay his hand upon his heart, and say he has not, some time or other in his life, committed murder!
