Instead of treating the water with chlorine, the Burtons have a state-of-the-art sanitation system that uses copper oxidation and ozonation.

Ozonation treatment works but is expensive and has practical problems.

Earth H20 treats its water with UV and ozonation and doesn’t consider itself part of the raw water movement.

“It would go into gray water holding tank that would run though a small treatment system with a really fancy biofiltration unit, and then ozonation or ultraviolet disinfectant, and then back to a gray water holding tank,” Lefferts said.
