Cases displaying the works of Ms. Eckhardt, Mr. Heaton and Mr. and Ms. Higgins, all American glass sculptors who worked between the 1940s and ’60s, show the results of early art-glass techniques like slumping, in which heat causes glass to slide fluidly into molds, resulting in bends and waves, and pâte de verre, which involves making a glass paste that can be applied to the surface of a mold and fired.
