They include committing a felony while on bail, resisting a peace officer causing serious bodily injury, battery on a peace officer, escaping custody using force and violating probation.

Alfred “Al” Labrada saw his peace officer certification restored after an investigation by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training, or POST, the state’s law enforcement accreditation body.

“As a result of the termination, he has lost 30 years of future income as a peace officer, costing him millions of dollars in salary and retirement.”

He voluntarily surrendered his peace officer certification this month, according to the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.

“Despite these challenges, our professional peace officers remain committed to maintaining the highest level of professionalism while upholding their sworn duties.”
