Brilliant Traces Red Sage Productions stages Cindy Lou Johnson’s Alaska-set tale about a runaway bride who finds herself on a hermit’s doorstep.

Just look at the early 1990s, when Cafe Milano opened: Red Sage, also opened in 1992, was as hot as the ghost peppers it sneaked into its dishes.

Wexford Bridge, which stretches out over the broad River Slaney Estuary, is a good place to get your bearings and take in the red, sage green and bright blue houses and storefronts framed by twin church spires.

And everything was presented in a series of monochromatic groupings: black, flaming red, sage, sulfur and white.

On that huge, light-hazy stage, framed by the minimalist towers, the spectrum of colors — royal blue, pink, aqua, red, sage, lavender — blurred into random drops, much as your eye picks out the bright hues in crowded streets.
