Shunpike provides administrative and financial services to arts organizations throughout Washington State.

Shunpike also produces arts programming such as ACES, Storefronts and Seattle Restored, and facilitates the use of The Studio at 2+U. We fundraise for our free public programs and to subsidize the costs of our services.

That’s how SAL operates: It’s fiscally sponsored by Shunpike, a Washington arts nonprofit.

Luckily, they were finally able to move into a venue as part of Storefronts, a program from Seattle-based nonprofit Shunpike that seeks to put art in storefronts.

Martin Tran, Shunpike’s program director, said the rehearsal-room program, which began in 2020 and continues to be fully booked, has been critical for artists whose rehearsal space was unavailable the last two years, due to either temporary or permanent closure.
