The male reproductive apparatus in the lower, consisting of a cell or other cavity in which spermatozoids are produced; Ð called also spermary.

In the cells of the spermary the spermatozoa are closely packed together, with their heads pointing outwards towards the summit of the mound through which they finally make their way into the water.

The one nearer to the mouth end is the spermary and that near the attached end is the ovary.
