A domestic abuse survivor has called on the justice system to sentence perpetrators more quickly after they are convicted.

These films have run the gamut — sometimes focusing on the survivors, sometimes on the shooters, sometimes on the parents — and likewise their strategies have varied, either promising catharsis, hope or insight.

The family did not offer cause of death or a list of survivors.

The survivor, Munther Abed, insisted that "all lights were on" until the vehicles came under direct fire.
