My parents did a teeterboard act, and it was the most amazing thing.

Presented at the Brooklyn Academy of Music by the Swedish company Cirkus Cirkor, the production incorporates acrobatics, aerial acts, teeterboard maneuvers, contortions, juggling and even the solution of a Rubik’s Cube by a blindfolded performer.

But when the lights are flashing, and the bodies soaring and the music chiming, ticking off what this show isn’t seems so beside the point, because hey, look, a teeterboard!

Mr. Boelsems said that his mother had stayed in shape long enough to take her last leap from a teeterboard at age 80.

Wild’s grandfather and great uncles were part of a teeterboard act, bodies launching, flipping and contorting in harmony.
