The University of Alabama College Democrats released a statement on Wednesday that accused President Donald Trump and his administration of striking a "cold, vicious dagger through the heart of UA's international community."

With his country under attack, the Ukrainian cinematographer left his life and career in Berlin, came home and co-founded a small aid organisation, Base UA.

When he was injured, Eddy was working with the aid group Base UA, whose field coordinator he credits with saving his life.

He tweeted “Staying committed to UA” on Jan. 23, and enrolled early to participate in new Arizona coach Brent Brennan’s spring practices.

He’s the 10th member of the UA’s 2024 recruiting class to depart for UW, joining Williams, fellow running back Adam Mohammed, wide receiver Audric Harris, offensive linemen Michael Watkins and Justin Hylkema, defensive backs Rahshawn Clark and Rahim Wright II, tight end Charlie Crowell and junior college defensive lineman Bryce Butler.
