In the Alder the anterior wings are smooth, broad and strong, in the Welshman’s Button they are covered with hairs and narrow.

A fishery that gave poor and diminishing results, even with the Mayfly, sedge, and Welshman's button, was not suitable for dry-fly experts, and the Ramsbury experiment was abandoned.

Here are my trout, and I got every one of them with the small fly—Welshman's button—before one o'clock.
