Oaks Christian 12, Westlake 5: Quentin Young hit two home runs, giving him 12 on the season, and brothers Ryan and Carson Sheffer also homered to power Oaks Christian to the Marmonte League win.

Westlake was unable to rally in the bottom of the seventh, ending a streak of six straight home games in which the Warriors won on walk-offs in their final at bat.

Ventura County prosecutors say Austin Allen Eis, 26, carried out a series of “calculated attacks” on April 18, 2023, that began with a stabbing in Simi Valley and culminated in Eis slamming his car into the teens who were standing outside Westlake High School.

Eis, a former Westlake High School student, later admitted he targeted the teens out of personal frustration and a desire to commit mass violence, prosecutors said.
