Officers with the California Highway Patrol shot and killed a driver Wednesday morning after a pursuit ended in a Winnetka cul-de-sac.

The seven-story Winnetka project would fit in more with nearby development, which includes an existing apartment complex next door and a gas station on the corner.

Officers responded at 1:30 a.m. to multiple reports of a shooting at a large gathering at a mansion in the 5900 block of Winnetka Avenue, police said.

The home, between Hatteras and Oxnard streets, is at the end of a long driveway up a hill off Winnetka Avenue.

Although every homeowner within SoCalGas is eligible for a $1,000 rebate, the program will give special priority to those in the Aliso Canyon-impacted communities of Porter Ranch, Granada Hills, Northridge, Chatsworth, North Hills, Canoga Park, Reseda, Winnetka, Lake Balboa, Van Nuys and West Hills.
