Albro had studied under a student of Diego Rivera’s and would go on to become one of the country’s foremost female muralists, working with the Works Progress Administration on projects including murals at San Francisco’s Coit Tower.

The Prometheus statue by artist Nina Saemundsson was erected in 1935 by the federal Works Progress Administration and is one of several art pieces in the park.

Adapted from Sinclair Lewis’s 1935 novel of the same name, the show became a hit for the Federal Theater Project, a jobs-for-artists division of Roosevelt’s Depression-era Works Progress Administration.

Built in the 1930s by the Works Progress Administration, Timberline Lodge is a family-operated Oregon landmark.

Reyes is currently exploring these questions by studying aetosaur fossils in the Jackson School's collection, most of which were found during the 1940s as part of excavations done by the Works Progress Administration.
