That year, a 40-year-old Korean American restaurant owner from Ohio named Don Yi visited South Korea for his father’s funeral, only to be informed that he was wanted for draft evasion and placed in a jail cell for several hours.

This week's visit follows a meeting between the Bangladesh interim government's foreign policy advisor Touhid Hossain and the Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi in Beijing in January.
